Super Middle Pilates & Wellness is a midlife-centered movement and wellness studio grounded in design thinking.

We blend strength-based Pilates, bone health, and whole-life wellness with a woman-centered, client-centered, life-phase–centered approach — supporting the real transitions and realities of midlife and beyond.

Unha Engels Founder • Pilates Instructor • Holistic Wellness Coach

Unha is a movement educator, designer, and creative who came to Pilates through the subtle but undeniable shifts of midlife. After nearly 30 years working in healthcare technology, user experience research, and human-centered design, she began noticing changes in her energy, focus, and body that required a new kind of support.

A first half marathon sparked her return to strength; Pilates brought her home.

Her work today integrates her design-thinking background with her movement training, shaping a woman-centered, client-centered, and life-phase–centered approach to midlife wellness. She draws on decades of experience understanding how real people navigate real challenges in their bodies, environments, and daily lives — bringing curiosity, compassion, and thoughtful iteration into every session.

Certified in Comprehensive Pilates (across classical and contemporary lineages), Unha teaches with precision, warmth, and deep respect for real, changing bodies. She specializes in midlife-aware movement, blending:

  • core reconnection

  • strength and stability

  • bone health + longevity practices

  • hormonal and energy-awareness

  • breathwork

  • nervous system regulation

Her goal is to help women build resilience from the inside out — with practices that support the transitions, identities, and physiology of midlife and beyond.

Unha works with clients 1:1, in duets, and in small groups, creating space for strength, curiosity, and reinvention at every stage.

These future studies will deepen her commitment to supporting women through the full spectrum of midlife transitions — physical, emotional, neurological, and existential.
