Unha Engels
Founder & Certified Pilates Instructor
Unha is a movement educator and creative who came to Pilates through the subtle but meaningful shifts of midlife. After nearly 30 years as a designer and startup founder, she began noticing changes in her energy, body, and focus — and realized she needed a new kind of support. A first half marathon sparked her return to strength; Pilates brought her home.
Now certified in Comprehensive Pilates, which includes both classical and contemporary approaches, Unha offers a teaching style that is precise, compassionate, and rooted in the needs of real, changing bodies. She specializes in midlife-aware movement — blending core reconnection, hormonal support, breathwork, and nervous system regulation to build resilience from the inside out.
She works with clients 1:1, in duets, and in small group settings — creating space for thoughtful movement, strength, and curiosity at every stage.
Certifications & Studies:
Comprehensive Pilates (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel)
Currently completing NASM certifications in Personal Training, Nutrition Coaching, Women’s Fitness & Senior Fitness
Planned for Buff Bones® Certification (October 2025)
Ongoing study in perimenopause and menopause-informed movement
